Last updated: August 2026. These terms govern this website and general use of the hosted Blocks service. A signed engagement agreement, together with the versioned terms presented and acknowledged inside the product, governs each engagement, and prevails over this page where they differ.
Blocks provides a hosted environment that generates synthetic construction projects and assesses the behavior of software agents inside them. The service is hosted-only: the environment, including its generation and grading systems, is accessed over the network with issued credentials and is not distributed, licensed for local deployment, or available offline. Reports, findings summaries, and exported documents are deliverables; the environment itself is not.
Access is by issued, scoped credentials. Credentials issued for an engagement, meaning vendor invitations and evidence keys, carry a bounded lifetime and an identity of their own, and each can be revoked without affecting any other. A credential minted directly for your organization is derived from what it grants rather than from who received it, so the same request reproduces the same credential and revoking it withdraws it from everyone holding it: issue one to a single holder, or use the engagement flow where a per-holder credential is needed. You are responsible for the actions taken with credentials issued to you or your organization, for keeping them confidential, and for telling us promptly if one is compromised so it can be revoked. Credentials are issued to a party and may be bound to a declared agent identity; using a credential to act as a party or identity it was not issued for is prohibited.

Assessment results are produced by deterministic grading over synthetic projects and are delivered under the disclosure rules of the applicable engagement: a commissioning customer receives its commissioned comparison; each assessed party receives its own results. No party's results are published by Blocks without that party's opt-in. If you publish your own results, you must publish them with the suite version attached and without alteration. Findings may be disputed by their reference through the service's dispute process; dispute verdicts are issued by a person.
Graded assessment records produced in the environment are retained by Blocks and assigned as stated in the applicable engagement agreement, whose in-product terms present this assignment before any assessment begins. The party whose agent produced a record holds standing access to the evidence behind every finding reported about that agent. Nothing in these terms transfers to Blocks any rights in your agent, your software, or your confidential information, none of which the service requires.
The service, the environment, its generated projects and documents, the assessment methodology, and this website are owned by Blocks or its licensors. Reports and findings summaries delivered to you may be used within your organization and shared as the engagement's disclosure rules allow. The Blocks name and mark may not be used to state or imply endorsement of any product or result beyond what a delivered report states.
Findings are not legal advice. Assessment findings describe an agent's behavior against synthetic projects and cited rules; they are not legal advice, and Blocks is not a law firm. Statutory references in reports identify the rule an assessment tests, as encoded in a versioned, formally reviewed jurisdiction profile at the stated version. Findings describe behavior in the assessment environment. They are evidence about how an agent behaves under the assessed conditions, not a guarantee of its behavior in production. The service is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blocks' aggregate liability arising from the service or this website is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. An engagement agreement may state different limits for that engagement.
We may suspend or revoke credentials that breach these terms, compromise the service's security, or undermine the integrity of assessment material. The third is the one we will act on fastest, because every customer's results depend on it.
